What is Pupil Premium Funding?
Pupil premium is a government funded grant that aims to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools across England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as their peers.
To make sure pupil premium funding is used correctly, the Department of Education has provided information to school leaders and anyone else involved in managing pupil premium funds to make sure that the funds are correctly spent.
The Government insists that the funding should be used on the following points:
Address learning loss by using the latest virtual reality technology so that teachers can deliver exceptional lessons and allow students to work independently or in groups and cater for the needs of all via one-to-one learning.
