A key word that crops up in and around school is flexibility. Timetables change, the course of learning changes and ideas change so that whatever is being used in the classroom, whether it is technology, lesson plans or groupings, they need to be adaptable to these changes. There are many different ways ClassVR can be used in the classroom and we will provide you with a range of lesson ideas to help you on your way but for today I am purely going to look at logistics.
If you only have a few ClassVR headsets, you can… create a carousel of activities in your classroom with virtual reality or augmented reality activities being one of the stations that students visit. This will give a real boost of excitement to the session and encourage discussion and questions around the topic.

If you have one headset between two, you can… have one student describe their environment to their partner. The partner can then use their selected medium to create a picture of what they think the virtual reality experience looks like. The focus of this activity is to help build students’ vocabulary as they will be asked prompting questions by their partners.
If you have enough headsets for each student in your class you can… create a build up to the experience by pretending they are getting ready for a trip, putting on a spacesuit or going through a time-travelling machine. Using the ClassVR portal, you can then guide them through the virtual reality experiences of your choice, easily directing them to key points of interest as a focus for discussion.
One of the huge benefits of ClassVR is that it still allows you to connect and interact with your students. Even when you find yourselves in a different world or place in time, being able to see what your students can and focus their attention on different points, allows you to ensure that learning is meaningful as well as exciting.
