School VR Subjects: Citizenship, Personal, Social and Health Education Resources

Develop your students' knowledge in Citizenship, Personal, Social and Health Education with our VR & AR resources

The Citizenship and PSHE theme gives you the opportunity to use virtual reality to build and develop your students’ sense of empathy and understanding for other people.

Feel as though you’re really part of festivals and events around the world: why not see a giant kite festival, a beautiful lantern festival in China, or even a kimchi sharing festival in South Korea! Offer your students the chance to visit places of worship from many religions, or explore some of our unique collections: these include classrooms around the world, weddings in different cultures, and markets across the globe.

Looking at other schools around the world or cultural festivals can give younger students an idea of how our lives are different from other people’s, while studying the aftermath of nuclear and natural disasters or looking at the lives of refugees can be an excellent way to help older students understand the social and political climate of the world.

It can be challenging to convey the gravity and human impact of conflict, so encouraging students to empathise with those whose lives have been torn apart by war can be key.

Give them the opportunity to see the effects of the refugee crisis, or to take a sobering trip to Birkenau. Step inside the aftermath of an earthquake, hurricane or bushfire and consider how these natural disasters occurred and the affect they have on communities around the world. These resources are an ideal starting point for discussion and reflection.

On top of this you can also explore government buildings from across the globe to give a real-world context to the people and places they see and hear about in the news.

Topics include:

  • Mindfulness
  • Cultural Festivals
  • Natural Disasters
  • Nuclear Disasters
  • Refugees
  • Government Buildings

... And much more!
